9Time

Rates for 9Time are 9¢ per minute for all interstate calls billed in one-minute increments with a one-minute minimum There is a $3.95 monthly fee.

Aspire

Aspire offers 6-second billing on all long distance calls, subject to a 30-second minimum, at 12.95¢ per minute. This same rate applies for in-state calls.

Dime Club

Rates for Dime Club are identical to the Five and Dime program, except that there is a $4.95 minimum fee but not a three-minute minimum charge per call.

Dime Line

Rates for Dime Line (formerly New Dime Line) are 10¢ per minute for all interstate calls billed in one-minute increments with a 30¢ minimum per call. There is no monthly fee or minimum.

Five and Dime

Rates for Five and Dime (formerly Dime Line) are either 5¢ or 10¢ per minute 24 hours a day for interstate calls, billed in one-minute increments with a three-minute minimum per call.

The 5¢ per minute rate only applies to every other call of 10 minutes or less. For purposes of the rate calculator, it is assumed that the lowest possible rate achievable is 7.5¢ per minute, though there will certainly be some variations. In addition to the per-minute charges, there is a $5 monthly fee for any month in which the service is used.

Five Line

Rates for Five Line are 5¢ per minute 24 hours a day for both state-to-state and in-state calls. Calls are billed in one-minute increments with a 50¢ minimum per call.

There are no monthly fees or minimums.

According to VarTec Customer Service, this plan is available in all 50 states.

This service is promoted on a dial-around basis, which allows you to selectively use this service by prefixing your calls with a 7-digit access code. Improperly using this access code with local calls will result in charges being incurred for calls that might otherwise be non-billable.

Existing VarTec Telecom Customers must call Customer Service at 1-800-264-7328 to sign up for FiveLine Service.

Small Change

Small Change is a VarTec plan with no monthly fee. The rate is 12¢ per minute for all interstate calls, with a one minute minimum.

Intrastate rates vary from state to state. The rate for in-state calls in California is 7¢ per minute.

5 talk

In most states, 5 Talk rates are 5¢ per minute for state-to-state calls and 15¢ per minute for in-state calls, subject to a 3-minute minimum, with no monthly fees. Calls are billed in one-minute increments. Be sure to check with Clear Choice Communications to verify the rates and monthly fees that apply to your state.

Because this is described as a promotional rate, you should also check for current availability. Previous Clear Choice and VarTec customers may need to request the new rates to avoid being billed on a grandfathered plan.

9 talk

On the 9 Talk plan, interstate long distance calls are 9¢ a minute. There is a $3.95 monthly fee.

10 Time

The 10 Time plan has no monthly fee; calls are 10¢ a minute subject to a 30¢ minimum per call.
