The product I will discuss in today's newsletter is CO-Q10, and it's a pretty amazing product, too! CO Q-10 is a "co-enzyme" found in the cells of all living, breathing things. Coenzymes are different from enzymes. Enzymes are large proteins that have very specific roles in carrying out desirable chemical reactions. They function as catalysts to speed up reactions that might take place very slowly or not even take place at all if it were not for their presence. However, the enzymes themselves are not consumed in the process, and each enzyme is usually only assigned to one specific type of process.

Many enzymes will work only in the presence of one or more coenzymes, which are smaller molecules that are readily absorbed into the body and are not inactivated by stomach acids. Many of the coenzymes in the body come from vitamins, such as Vitamins B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, E, K, and folic acid. CO Q-10 biochemically functions similarly to Vitamin E in that it participates in anti-oxidant and free radical reactions. However, CO Q-10 has an additional biochemical that is very special and important, in that it is involved in the production of energy cells. And what is most important of all, is CO Q-10's role in actually producing energy in the cells of the heart.

Now when I say that C0 Q-10 is a vital catalyst in the creation of the energy that cells needed for life, I mean precisely that. Energy is needed to allow the cells to reproduce properly. Without CO Q-10, the chain of cellular energy would be broken, and without energy, life would cease to exist. Energy also keeps our cells in top shape, and as a result, we feel better, live longer and stay healthier. When we're young, our bodies and immune systems are in good condition and full of energy. But as we age, our ability to synthesize CO Q-10 diminishes, and that's when our health problems start to begin.

A tremendous amount of research has already been done on CO Q-10, so we are quite aware of what this substance can actually do. In fact, CO Q-10 has been studied in literally dozens of major hospitals and research facilities all over the world, and has also been the subject of at least 4 major international conferences. There is almost total agreement that CO Q-10 plays a vital role in the treatment of cardiovascular disease, and in helping to keep the body healthy by supporting the immune system in a variety of ways. CO Q-10 has actually been shown to produce energy on a cellular level, and to rebuild the heart on a cellular level.

In the words of the great Linus Pauling, CO Q-10 has also been shown to "strengthen the heart without exercise," making it an invaluable aid to those recovering from recent heart attacks and/or heart surgery. Additional research has shown that when cardiac drugs and Co Q-10 are used in combination, the dosages of the heart medications can be safely reduced, while simultaneously enhancing their effectiveness.

The scientific medical community knows the value of CO Q-10, also. In fact, they consider CO Q-10 to be so valuable that a few years ago, they lobbied to make it available by prescription only. Imagine the arrogance of that kind of thinking - trying to put control of a natural substance that is necessary for life in the hands of a small number of people - and people who have little or no training or interest in nutritional health, at that! Fortunately, they failed, both because CO Q-10 is a naturally occurring product in nature, and because it doesn't pose any significant health risks to warrant its unnecessary control. This is one small victory for the good guys, since if it had become a prescription drug, it would now be much more expensive, and much more difficult to procure!

CO Q-10 can also be of immense benefit to the immune system. Our immune systems are constantly bombarded with foreign micro-organisms and internal stress factors. 24 hours a day, our bodies are fighting off molds, fungi, bacteria, viruses, toxins, and the cumulative effects of stress. This is an exhausting job, and sometimes when the stress load is too high, the immune system gets overloaded and we end up sick or debilitated. When this occurs, CO Q-10 has the unique ability to increase oxygen utilization and to rally the defense systems in our bodies. Having a good reserve of CO Q-10 is like having reinforcement troops on hand to rush into battle with fresh supplies and new energy whenever the regular troops begin to tire and suffer low morale.

Additional studies have confirmed that CO Q-10 is a potent antioxidant, as well as an effective antihistamine that can be of significant value in addressing the symptoms of asthma and allergies. And CO Q-10 also has proven ability to provide strong nutritional support and thereby aid in the treatment of obesity, periodontal disease, and muscle disorders, including muscular dystrophy. I have found it particularly interesting that CO Q-10 is now routinely prescribed by psychiatrists in combination with antidepressants, antipsychotics, and other psychotropic drugs, to help boost the immune system and reduce the effects of cardiotoxicity that are commonly associated with these pharmaceuticals.

Even though CO Q-10 is an essential nutrient for our health, it's not all that easy to come by. CO Q-10 is a naturally occurring nutrient in foods. However, it is destroyed by modern processing methods. The CO Q-10 in meat is tainted by the many artificial hormones given to the animals themselves. Even fresh fruits and vegetables, if they were picked days ago and allowed to sit around, have diminished quantities of all their available nutrients - vitamins, minerals, and CO Q-10. Since most foods now contain very little CO Q-10, and since our ability to synthesize it diminishes with age, additional supplementation is recommended to ensure a sufficient supply. CO Q-10 is available for purchase in most health food and drug stores. But unfortunately, a great many suppliers have flooded the market with inferior quality merchandise - and CO Q-10 is one of those products where the quality of the substance makes a HUGE difference in how well it does its job. This is one instance where you truly do not want to put cheap gas in a luxury car. So if you're planning to use, or recommend the use of CO Q-10, it's doubly important that you purchase it only from Nutrition For Life, so you can be absolutely certain that you are receiving the highest quality available.

Who needs to take CO Q-10 supplements? Probably everyone. It has been estimated that perhaps 90% of the U.S. adult population is deficient in CO Q-10, and many are far more deficient than they even know. Deficiency in CO Q-10 is directly related to health, so it's extremely important that you keep your levels up. TO IMPROVE YOUR HEALTH: NINE THINGS YOU CAN DO IN UNDER 5 MINUTES EACH ---as reported in "Moneysworth" Newsletter (May 1997) by Dr. Harold Bloomfield

Here are nine ways to boost your happiness and limit stress in under five minutes each:

1. PRACTICE "ONE-BREATH" MEDITATION.

You don't have to spend years mastering meditation. This one-breath method is a powerful, straightforward relaxation technique that can be practiced anytime, anywhere. Try it whenever you feel fatigued or out of sorts.

What to do: Sit in a comfortable chair. Straighten your back, relax your shoulders, and take a deep breath. Let the air "open" our chest. Imagine it filling every cell in your body. Hold the breath for a moment, then exhale, releasing every bit of tension.

Also helpful: One-touch relaxation. Place your fingertips just in front of your ears. Inhale and clench your teeth. Hold for five seconds. Exhale, and let your jaw muscles go loose. Repeat this exercise three more times, using half the original tension, then one-fourth, then one-eighth. Then take a deep breath, press your fingertips against your jaw, let it go slack and say, "Ah-h-h-h. Imagine you are breathing out any tightness.

2. INHALE AN ENERGIZING SCENT.

Recent research suggests that lemon and peppermint scents are energizing.

Helpful: Have an occasional cup of lemon peppermint tea.chew sugarless peppermint gum.keep a bottle of peppermint and/or lemon extract to sniff.add a couple of drops to a small scent dispenser.or experiment with potpourri containing other energizing scents such as pine, jasmine, lavender, or orange.

3. SIP ICE WATER

It keeps your cells hydrated and helps you burn calories.

Reason: Whenever you drink something cold, your body raises your metabolism to keep your body temperature from falling. That process burns calories - eight 16-ounce glasses of ice water will burn an extra 200 calories per day (enough to lose about 10 pounds per year).

Strategy: Start the day with eight to 16 ounces of ice water. Sip a 16-ounce glass every hour or two, keeping one next to you at work and at home. All told, you should drink eight glasses by the end of the day.

4. BASK IN BRIGHT LIGHT

Most people get a powerful surge of energy from sunlight or bright indoor light. Make use of this effect by moving your desk chair closer to a window.or take a five-minute outdoor walk every few hours.

Also helpful: Each day, get five minutes of non-peak sun - before 10 AM or after 3 PM - without sunscreen or sunglasses and enjoy the full mood-lifting effects of sunlight.

5. COOK WITH "NUTRICEUTICALS," i.e. vegetables, herbs and spices that have specific healing properties.

Garlic and onions boost the immune system, helping prevent colds.

Basil, cumin and turmeric help prevent cancer of the bladder and prostate.

Black pepper, jalapenos, mustard and hot red peppers all boost your metabolism for several hours. That helps burn fat.

Cinnamon helps metabolize sugar, keeping your blood sugar levels steady.

6. CHECK YOUR READING POSTURE

Poor posture - leaning over a desk, for instance - can cause tension headaches, vision problems and pain in the jaw and/or neck.

Self-defense: Bring reading material up to your field of vision or use a book stand to hold a book at the proper angle. If you tend to spend a lot of time on the telephone, invest in a headset. You should never cradle the telephone between your ear and shoulder.

7. DO TRIGGER-POINT THERAPY.

Whenever you feel tense, feel for a tight band of muscle tissue - a "trigger point." Press or squeeze it with light to moderate pressure. Continue pressing for five to 10 seconds, then release.

8. CURB INDOOR POLLUTION.

Whenever possible, keep your windows open. Keep gas appliances properly maintained to limit their output of carbon monoxide. Use exhaust fans in the bathroom, kitchen and garage whenever you use these rooms. All gas appliances should be checked annually - and properly vented to the outside. Make your home and office smoke-free. (Note - if you have not yet purchased the Essential Air Purifier for your home, make this a priority! - MB)

9. DO ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.

"Lyming" is the Caribbean art of doing nothing - without feeling guilty about it. Try lyming frequently to give your brain time to process all the information it receives over the course of a day.

Helpful: Take a five-minute "mental vacation" every few hours. Picture your favorite beach or other getaway place. The idea is to escape the rat race briefly - but completely.

The following article has been attributed to Tom Batha, MLM Distributor and Editor of Bizmeup Guide to MLM Success, an e-zine dedicated to success and prosperity in MLM.

THE 6 MOST-IMPORTANT WORDS YOUR PROSPECT IS JUST DYING TO HEAR

"Oh we've got the Best company, with the Highest compensation plan, and the finest products backed by great management and BLAH...BLAH...BLAH..."

Sound familiar? It does to me. When I first started with my current MLM company I was thrilled to tell my prospects about all the awards they've won, about their record-shattering financial performance, about how much money their top reps were pulling in each month, and BLAH...BLAH...BLAH.

And surprisingly, all these facts FAILED to impress the prospects I was bent on signing up! How do I know the prospects weren't impressed? Because the conversation typically went like this:

ME: And our company was featured as 'the outstanding MLM company by Success magazine!

PROSPECT: (silence)

ME: And our company pays out over $15 Million each month in commissions and bonuses!

PROSPECT: (muffled yawn)

ME: And we've got over 200 people earning from $7,000 to $250,000 per MONTH, and they've done it working part-time for only three years!

PROSPECT: Yeah. So?

Geez, I thought. Can't they see a good thing staring them in the face? How can they NOT be bowled over?

Well, it took me awhile to figure it out. And the way I figured it out was quite simple. I asked my upline. And they helped me to understand it from the prospect's point of view.

Once I did that, it became plain to see. The most important thing a prospect considers about your opportunity is "Can I do this?".

That's it. That's the single, most-important factor for a prospect signing up in your downline.

Why? Again, put yourself in your prospect's shoes. She has no selling experience. She HATES anything to do with selling. She's suspicious. She's cynical. And she's smart enough to understand that, no matter how good the compensation plan, she won't see a penny of that unless she's able to work the program.

So, what can you do to alleviate her concerns? You tell her THE 6 MOST-IMPORTANT WORDS SHE'S JUST DYING TO HEAR!

You tell her "YOU CAN DO THIS TOO BECAUSE...".

Once you make it PERSONAL to her, once you use a real life story about a person who was successful in MLM despite the exact same perceived shortcomings, your prospect becomes much more willing, not only to listen, but to believe that "Hey, I can do this too!".

So how do you convey that "real life story"? Well, the first thing you want to do is to get a little background on your prospect. Has she ever been involved in MLM before? How did it work out for her? What doesn't she like about your opportunity? Gather as much background as possible.

Now that you know a little something about her, and you know her objections too, it's time to go to work. You use real life stories about individuals who were in the same boat.

For example, I tell my prospects about a member of my MLM company, a single-mother with a high-school education who never sold anything in her life yet, in spite of the obstacles she faced, she's now earning a very good monthly income. Boy, is she ever!

And I told another prospect about the very shy man I know who was terrified of selling, yet felt extremely comfortable using our non-confrontational, non-selling method of presenting his opportunity. And he's thrilled that now HE'S the one getting the phone calls from eager prospects, rather than having to chase them down and convince them how great this opportunity is.

Your next step is to tell your prospect about yourself, your initial objections and how you overcame them.

And finally, you bring it all back to your prospect. You let her know that your upline is made up of people that had the same sort of objections, yet overcame them.

And you let your prospect know that, not only you, but your upline and their years of experience will be working with her every step of the way.

And you know what? Chances are your prospect will take you up on your offer. Because 99% of ALL prospects have the exact SAME objections! Objections like: "I hate selling." "My previous MLM sponsors were worthless." "My last MLM company never paid me." "It's too expensive." "I don't have the time."

Does this sound familiar? They're the most COMMON objections that prospects have. And since almost all successful MLM'ers started off with the exact same objections, you've got proof that your opportunity CAN work for your prospect.

Now, if you're just starting off in MLM, you're probably grumbling, "I can't tell any success stories about myself. I'm not making any money yet".

Yeah. So?

You've got an upline, don't you? You've got hundreds, if not thousands of successful people in your company, don't you? GET THEIR STORIES. Get 5 or 6 stories that would cover most objections and use these when speaking with a prospect about your opportunity.

Ask your successful upline members how THEY overcame such objections. And then use their stories!

Now don't get me wrong. A company's balance sheet, its management, the quality of their products, the awards they've won, etc., are important factors upon which to base a decision. But they're only secondary considerations to your prospect.

Remember the saying: "Facts tell but stories SELL".

(5) <<<<< J O K E - O F - T H E - W E E K >>>>>

Every night, Joe would go down to the liquor store, get a six pack, bring it home, and drink it while he watched TV. One night, as he finished his last beer, the doorbell rank. He stumbled to the door and found a six-foot cockroach standing there. The bug grabbed him by the collar and threw him across the room, then left.

The next night, after he finished his 4th beer, the doorbell rang. He walked slowly to the door and found the same six-foot cockroach standing there. The big bug punched him in the stomach, then left.

The next night, after he finished his 1st beer, the doorbell rang again. The same six-foot cockroach was standing there. This time, he was kneed in the groin and hit behind the ear as he doubled over in pain. Then the big bug left.

The fourth night Joe didn't drink at all. The doorbell rang. The cockroach was standing there. The bug beat the snot out of Joe and left him in a heap on the living room floor.

The following day, Joe went to see his doctor. He explained the events of the preceding four nights. "What can I do?" he pleaded.

"Not much" the doctor replied. "There's just a nasty bug going around."
